Cause Analysis and Solution of V ring Seal Leakage

V ring seals are made of different kinds or rubber material and modified PTFE material. General hydraulic cylinder pressure is less than 10 MPa, choose three V ring as a set is sufficient to ensure that mechanical equipment sealing performance. If the pressure is higher, increase the number of intermediate V ring seals can guarantee the sealing performance.
The pressing force is not enough, or can not adjust the size of the compression force. The seal ring is slightly expanded to achieve the purpose of sealing. When the sealing ring lip is worn, it will lead to oil leakage, we can increase the clamping force and adjust the amount of compression to compensate. So the V-ring seal device must be set with a compression force adjustment device.
The compression force is too large or uneven pressing force and local temperature rise and wear. This kind of wear is one of the main reasons for the leakage of V ring seal. At this point, appropriate to reduce the pressing force based on the hydraulic cylinder work, and make sure the compression force in the circumferential direction evenly distributed.
