What is a quad ring？

Quad ring, also known as X ring, it can be installed in a special groove with low compression ratio for reducing friction, but it can also be used in O ring grooves of the same size. Quad ring have low friction, it can overcome the twist, get better lubrication.

Quad ring not only can be used as a moving seal at lower speeds, but also suitable for using as a static seal. Quad ring has four lip seal, the shape is similar with X shaped.
