Shock absorber oil seal construction and application

Update:2018-11-13

The shock absorber oil seal structure consists of three parts: shock absorber oil seal body, reinforcing frame and self-tightening coil spring. The sealing body is further divided into a bottom portion, a waist portion, a cutting edge and a sealing lip according to different parts. Generally, the skeleton damper oil seal in the free state has a smaller inner diameter than the shaft diameter, that is, has a certain "interference".

Therefore, after the damper oil is packaged into the damper oil seal seat and the shaft, the pressure of the damper oil seal cutting edge and the contraction force of the self-tightening coil spring generate a certain radial tightening force on the shaft, after a period of operation The pressure will quickly decrease or even disappear, so that the spring can compensate the self-tightening force of the shock absorber oil seal at any time.

Skeleton shock absorber oil seal, widely used in aviation, automobiles, motorcycles, railways, vehicles, ships, home appliances, engineering machinery and other industries. Suitable for rotary motion and reciprocating motion seals. Installed in various models of engines, transmissions, axles, ships, cylinders and other parts. It mainly prevents the penetration of the sealed medium (gas, liquid) and external foreign matter into the body.

Precautions

Ordinary shock absorber oil seal pressure range is very limited, generally 0.03MPa. This pressure is generally the pressure created by the high difference in the lubricating oil itself. If it is necessary to seal a better pressure, a high pressure shock absorber oil seal (generally capable of withstanding a pressure of 1 MPa) or other seals is required.
