What is the face seal?

Face seal is the simplest seal. DSH Seals share with you that it consists of an elastic diaphragm supported by a metal shell or metal frame that fits over the shoulder or flange of the shaft. Or a set of springs maintains the pressure at the contact surface (the application schematic of the end seal structure shown in Figure 1). 

The sealing surface area thus obtained is obviously larger than the sealing surface area of a lip seal, and as a result, a strict seal is formed, and since the sealing surface does not come out of contact, it contributes to antifouling, and the sealing effect is rare. 

Affected by the presence of dirt. Also, since the spring pressure is utilized, the sealing surface can be automatically compensated when worn, and the amount of wear itself is proportional to the size of the end face loading, and is also related to the friction sealing material involved. 

Wear can be reduced to negligible by the selection of a suitable sealing material, such as a wear-resistant seal that connects the diaphragm to the friction surface of cast iron, phosphor bronze or stainless steel.
