Sealing material and application of piston cup for construction machinery

Piston cups for construction machinery are sometimes called skin buckets. DSH Seals share with you that the seal material originally used is made of leather and used in the hydraulic industry. Leather bowls are still in use, especially for rougher hole surfaces. 

However, the rubberized rubber cup ensures greater strength and rigidity. The cup was originally sealed with natural rubber and used in hydraulic systems. It was later sealed with synthetic rubber for hydraulic systems. Synthetic rubber seals are now standard practice, and such rubber cups can be made more suitable for use in water, steam, oil and many chemical work environments (media).

However, another combination of seal materials is made of fiber-reinforced synthetic rubber seal material rather than a rubber seal material. This results in a more flexible and smoother surface, which is particularly suitable for use in engineering machinery pneumatic sealing systems, but also in engineering machinery low pressure hydraulic sealing systems. 

This kind of cup is called "semi-reinforcement". In addition, rubber cups (without any reinforcement) can also be used in special low-pressure working environments, especially in smaller sizes.
