Oil Seal material characteristics | DSH Seals

Oil Seal, play a role in sealing. Oil Seal in different mechanical equipment and industries has different characteristics, the biggest difference is the material, different materials has different requirement for the medium, high and low temperature resistance. DSH Seals will introduce some common Oil Seal materials characteristics and features.

The common material for oil seal are, Nitrile rubber, Fluorine rubber, Silicone rubber, Acrylate rubber, Polyurethane, PTFE, etc. When select the material, must take its compatibility of medium , adaptability of working temperature range, following ability of high speed rotation. In general operation, if the temperature of labial margin is 20~30 ℃ higher than working temperature. It need be paid more attention.

Oil Seal working range is related to its materials, if
Nitrile rubber,      - 40 ~ 120 ℃
Acrylate rubber,    - 30 ~ 180 ℃
Fluorine rubber,   - 25 ~ 300 ℃.
