What Bearing Structures and Features of Floating Static Rings in Mechanical Seals?

Today DSH Seals tell you several common bearing structures of static rings in mechanical seals.There are various bearing structures and features of static seals.DSH Seals tells you common bearing types of static rings include floating structure, fastening structure, inserting structure and axial Positioning structure etc.


Hydraulic static rings is bore by groove, which not only helps the sealing more reliable and the bearing force more reasonable,but also reduce the coefficient of deformation. Different features of different structures will be introduced below.

Static rings is bore by compression and deformation of elastomers(such as orings),axial movement and radial movement can float slightly. When needing strictly sealing, the second seal should be installed, as shown in picture C.

Under high sticky media, high pressure and fast speed, stop pin need installing, as in picture C or F.

Features: the structures are simple. They are convenient to be taken down and installed, as such kind of structure can absorb part of shaking of rob and groove. The weakness is that elastomer separates the static ring,which  goes against heat conduction.
