What is the structure and Principle of Brake Seal?

Update:2017-04-08

Firstly, what is brake? DSH Seals tells you brake refers to stopping or lowing the speed of moving cars or other transportation and machines. Then, let’s see what is the structure and principle of brake seal.

1. Basis structure. Brake consists of  transmission axis, fixed hollow shaft and highly elastic rubber seal. The fixed hollow shaft is installed in the transmission axis, thus enough gap appear between them and a highly elastic rubber seal can be installed in it. The inner ring of rubber seal keep rigid fixation with transmission axis, while the external ring cover with several friction disks to allow some gap between surface of fixed hollow shaft.

2. Working principle. When high pressure air doesn’t be filled into rubber seal, and gap appears between friction disks and the surface of fixed hollow shaft, the transmission axis can operate freely. When the rubber seal is filled out with high pressure air, its external diameter become larger, and the gap will disappear so that the friction disks rigidly contact with fixed hollow shaft. At this time, the transmission axis is blocked by rubber seal and stop operation to achieve brake. When the air is release from rubber seal, the transmission axis can work again.
