Types of Engineering Machinery Cylinder Seals Oil Seals

Construction machinery is inseparable from the cylinder, the cylinder can not be separated from the seal (also called seals or oil seals, etc.). The most common seal is the seal, also called the oil seal. Plays a role in isolating the oil and preventing the oil from overflowing or passing through.

Common types of seals for hydraulic cylinders are the following types: wiper rings, piston rod seals, buffer rings, guide rings, Flanged Heel seals and piston seals.

1. Flanged Heel Ring

The end cap seal is used for the seal of the cylinder flanged heel and the cylinder wall and is a static seal to prevent oil leakage from the gap between the flanged heel and the cylinder wall. It is usually composed of a nitrile rubber O-ring and a support ring.

2. Piston seal

The piston seal is used to isolate the two chambers of the hydraulic cylinder and is the main seal in the hydraulic cylinder. Usually two-piece, the outer ring is made of PTFE and nylon, the inner ring is made of NBR, and there are also many variations, including the use of bronze coated with PTFE, and so on. Polyurethane U-cups are also available on single-acting cylinders
