High Pressure Hydraulic Cylinder Seals

With the development of social productivity,  to improve the pressure grade is very important, high pressure miniaturization is gradually concerned by people. High pressure systems and intelligent control system require a hydraulic cylinder has the following characteristics, no internal or external leakage, low starting resistance, high sensitivity and without crawling and hysteresis phenomenon when under operation.

At present, the domestic has introduced the Busak + Shamban and Hunger as the representatives of sealing technology, and they are widely used in Excavators, Loader, Crane and other Engineering Machinery high pressure hydraulic cylinder.

Correct assembly is the premise of guarantee performance and service life of the sealing system. How to assembly process the Seals? DSH Seals will tell you.

Piston Seals.

Piston seal consist of a rectangle ring (also known as Glyd Ring),  elastic ring, and 4-5 guide rings (also known as friction ring, support ring). Piston seal is suitable for heavy-duty application, it is with good sealing, 
anti-extrusion and abrasion resistance performance, corrosion resistance is also strong. Glyd Ring must be installed in accordance with the following assembly processes, in order to ensure the sealing effect.

1. Push the elastic ring into the clean piston groove with a special taper sleeve.

2. Immerse the Glyd Ring by hydraulic oil (or oil) and evenly heating gently to about 80 ℃, till could feel the Glyd Ring has greater flexibility and extensibility.

3. Install the heated Glyd Ring to the elastic ring on the piston groove.

4. Use the tapered elastic sleeve to cooling, shrink and figuration the Glyd Ring. If the Glyd Ring deformation is too large and not suitable for shrink, it should be immersed with piston by about 80 ℃ hot oil for about 5-10 minutes, remove. Assembly them when only after figuration and must be shrink to till the mounting dimension.
      

Cylinder head seal.

Cylinder head seal consist of Step Seals, Scraper Seal and so on. Step Seal (Rod Seal), correct assembly is the major factor for sealing performance. During the assembly process, shall pay attention to the clean of tools, parts and seals, lubricate assembly, to avoid the sharp edges (cover all the threads) or damage Rod Seals.

How to assembly? DSH Seals tell you too.

1. Put the elastic ring (O ring) into the cylinder head slot.

2. Bend the heated seal ring into the o ring, spread it under the thermal state. Note: The steps of the seal should be toward the high pressure side.

3. Figuration.

4. Positioning. Assemble Scraper Seal, Step Seal and related seals in the cylinder head, ensure the sealing performance.
