Seals & Gaskets Selection.

There are different technical requirements for the hydraulic cylinder, select right Seals & Gaskets 

according to the specific technical requirement. DSH Seals will share how to select Seals & Gaskets.

If the hydraulic cylinder technical parameters are as below,

Pressure: ≥ 25 MPa, 

Speed: 0~0.5 m/s

Temperature: 80 ℃ 

How about the requirement for Seals & Gaskets?

1.  Hardness of the Seals, 92-97 hardness. The higher pressure, the  greater hardness.

2. The lips linear speed shall be 0.5 m/s.

3.  Seals shall be temperature resistance, -30 ℃～110 ℃, high temperature resistance and low

temperature resistance.

4.  Choose specific Seals for specific application. For rod, rod seals. For piston, piston seals. 

5.  Add Gaskets.

Why should add Gaskets? To reduce the compression deformation. How’s the hardness of the 

Gaskets? The higher pressure, the  greater hardness.

If the hydraulic cylinder technical paremeters are as below,

Temperature: 80 ℃ 

How about the requirement for Seals & Gaskets?

1. Hardness of the Seals, 85-92 hardness. The lower harness, the better elastic .

2.  The lips linear speed shall be 0.5 m/s.

3.  Seals shall be temperature resistance, -30 ℃～110 ℃, high temperature resistance and low 

temperature resistance.

4. Choose specific Seals for specific application. For rod, rod seals. For piston, piston seals.
