How to choose O ring for your application? DSH Seals will share something with you.
Different working conditions for static and dynamic application, o ring seals work as a effective and economic sealing unit, o ring is a double acting seals.

Reciprocating movement: max 5Mpa without back up ring.
With back up ring, pressure is higher.
Max Compression Amount
Static Sealing: 20% of o ring diameter.
Dynamic sealing: 30% of o ring diameter.
Pressure:Static condition, speed: Max reciprocating speed can reach 0.5m/s
Without back up ring, max Pressure: 20Mpa,Max rotary speed:0.2m/s.
With back up ring, max pressure:40Mpa
With special back up ring, max pressure:200Mpa
