The difference between O-Ring with or without back-up ring

About the difference between type O Ring with back-up ring or without it, includes speed, medium, temperature and maximum amount of compression seals.

一、Speed:

1 Static occasions maximum reciprocating speed up to 0.5m/s

2.Without back-up ring, the maximum pressure can reach maximum rotation speed of up to 2.0m/s 20MPa.

3.With back-up ring, the maximum pressure can reach 40MPa.

二、Medium and temperature:

1. With special ring, the maximum pressure can reach 200MPa, refer to "the rubber seal material properties sheet".

2.Dynamic Pressure

三、Maximum compression:

1.Without back-up ring: The reciprocating motion of up to 5MPa  

                        static sealing O-ring: diameter 20%

2.With back-up ring, high pressure dynamic sealing O-ring: diameter 30%
